Interactive and fun with a focus on our values:  Be your best, Spirit, and Respect.

This includes an emphasis physical fitness, non-violent approaches to everyday social interaction, technical development, games, body control and listening skills.

We teach real karate and highlight all aspects of sport and traditional martial arts.

Little Tigers Karate is a class for kids aged 6 to 12.

Children who participate in karate regularly have been shown to do better in school as karate helps them to develop self-discipline, focus, and listening skills.

Karate is an excellent activity for children to build self-confidence and self-esteem.  They are less intimidated by bullies, and also more willing to take on other challenges at school.

Although movies frequently depict martial arts as encouraging violence in children, karate actually focuses on developing conflict resolution skills and avoiding violence.

Children enrolled in our Little Tigers program will develop goal setting skills, as each new belt comes with specific requirements and responsibilities.

Parents are encouraged to stay and watch all classes in which their children are participating.

Unlike many other martial arts programs, Little Tigers at Abbotsford Shotokan Karate are usually taught by Chief Instructor, Sensei Harry Sidhu so children get high quality instruction from the start.

New members can start at any time of the year.
